210 BSB (Brigade Support Battalion) LTAT (Logistics Training and Assessment Team).

Stationed at Ft Drum, NY and deployed with the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, located east of Baghdad, Iraq at FOB Hammer.

Partnered with Iraqi Army & Federal Police to conduct logistics based training and assessment with the goal of improving the Iraqis ability to be a self-sustainingfighting force as US Forces begin to draw back presence in the Iraq Theater. They train and advise on supply operations, equipment maintenance (vehicles & power generation), drivers training & PMCS (preventative maintenance checks & services) and medical (combat medic training and aid station operations).

The short & curly of it is, they are the last training team to partner with the Iraqis before USF pull out of Iraq. The more trained and prepared they can make them before we leave, the more successful their army and police will be in keeping peace and order in the country. If this happens it will keep USF from having to come back to Iraq in the future, so it is an important mission.
